Working Student Commercial Administrator (f/m/d)

Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Working Student Commercial Administrator (f/m/d) 

in Business Area (BA) Wind,

in our office in Berlin or Hamburg.

Purpose of your role

To be successful in this role, you need to combine your structured and financial thinking with a hands-on attitude in our fast-paced environment. As a working student, you will support the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) team, with a particular focus on managing processes related to external resources and time writing. You will play an important supporting function to ensure smooth end-to-end finance and procurement processes, particularly regarding external workforce coordination and accurate time entry handling.

You will be part of an international team consisting of Commercial Administrators and P2P Governance experts, and will work closely with Vattenfall Group functions, the Shared Service Center, and the business.

Key tasks and responsibilities include

• First-line support with regards to purchase order requisitions and invoice handling, with a focus on external consultants
• Monitor and validate time writing entries submitted by externals
• Code and distribute invoices
• Act as interface between Business Area Wind business and Finance Business Services departments (Accounts Payable/ Subledger, Accounting, Procurement, Tax, Resource Management Center)
• Support enhancing and continuous improvement of procure-to-pay and external time writing
• Follow up on invoices and procure-to-pay process adherence
• Provide ad hoc support to the Commercial Admin & Procure-to-Pay Governance team

What we are looking for 

• You study Business administration, economics or similar, and are an enrolled student
• Your coordination and administrative skills are very good
• Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written. Command of German is a plus
• You are structured and possess a collaborative & proactive mindset
• You like to pay attention to details without losing the bigger picture
• You have good Excel skills and preferably first-hand experience with SAP

• Start and duration of contract: as soon as possible; initial period of 12 months with the possibility to extend (no planned semester/ exchange abroad during this time period)
• Working hours: max. 20 hours a week; up to 37 hours a week during semester break
• Flexible working hours and hybrid work model (Office + Home Office)
• Work equipment: a laptop will be provided to you
