Do you want to gain hands-on experience in finance while contributing to large-scale offshore wind projects across Europe? As a Working Student Generation Controlling (Offshore Wind), you’ll work closely with experienced controllers and help ensure that our wind farms deliver reliable, sustainable energy. Business Area Wind

We develop, build and operate our wind farms – onshore and offshore – to accelerate the growth of renewable energy. We combine international expertise with innovation to deliver world-class projects. Every day, we contribute to fossil free living within one generation.

Within BU Offshore, we operate 12 offshore wind farms across Europe with a total capacity of 2.1 GW. At the same time, we are developing and constructing new large-scale wind projects to support the energy transition.

Your role – what you will do

You will support the Generation Controlling team in their daily work and gain valuable insights into financial steering of offshore wind farms. Working in an international team across five countries, you contribute to ensuring transparent reporting and strong financial performance.

  • Support the Business Controller in preparing and analysing monthly results and forecasts for German offshore wind farms
  • Prepare reporting materials for project managers and operational stakeholders
  • Update FTE reporting and contribute to the monthly reporting package for site managers
  • Assist with cost accruals as part of month-end processes
  • Work with financial master data, including maintaining and creating new objects
  • Support billing processes for revenues and costs related to offshore wind operations
  • Provide finance support to operational teams in O&M
  • Contribute to ad-hoc analyses and further development of reporting tools

Qualifications

Your profile

You are at the beginning of your professional journey in finance and enjoy working with numbers in an international environment. You bring a structured and careful way of working and like to collaborate with colleagues across different locations.

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme (at least 12 months remaining), ideally in Business Administration or similar
  • You feel confident using MS Excel and MS Office
  • You have an interest in renewable energy, especially offshore wind
  • You enjoy working with financial data and developing a good understanding of numbers
  • Initial experience in finance or the energy sector is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Power BI is beneficial
  • You communicate clearly in German (C1) and English (C1), both written and spoken
  • You work in a structured and reliable way and like to support your colleagues
