Working Student Algo Infrastructure (f/m/d)

What will you do? 

In this working student role, you will play an important part in supporting the backbone of our algorithmic infrastructure. Together with your team, you will help develop and maintain the systems that power our platform and applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable and ready for tomorrow’s challenges. Your daily work will focus on building software solutions that automate processes and make our services more reliable for colleagues across BA Markets. You will work closely with developers to design, test and release improvements—your input will be key in making sure updates run smoothly. 

Your main tasks include: 

• Developing tools and systems to manage platform infrastructure effectively 
• Creating automation solutions that streamline workflows and support sustainable operations 
• Collaborating with development teams to enhance testing routines and improve release practices 
• Troubleshooting issues as they arise, helping to resolve them quickly to minimise disruption 
• Documenting your work clearly so others can build on your ideas 

You will be part of a collaborative environment where sharing knowledge is encouraged, allowing you to learn from experienced colleagues while contributing your own insights. Success in this role means keeping our platforms running efficiently through thoughtful problem-solving and teamwork—helping Vattenfall move one step closer towards fossil freedom every day. 

You are curious about IT and eager to deepen your knowledge of infrastructure and software development. Your experience with Azure Cloud and Python helps you navigate technical challenges, while working in Linux environments feels familiar. You have a background in developing software, which means you understand how systems work beneath the surface.

To be successful in this role, you bring: 

• A strong interest in IT topics such as cloud infrastructure and software development 
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services and Python programming 
• Familiarity with Linux environments for building reliable solutions 
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to work effectively across our international teams 
• An enthusiastic approach to teamwork and communication
