Vattenfall Partners with Consid for an Inspiring EV Charging Hackathon Challenge

Hackathon

This autumn, Vattenfall is proud to partner with Consid for Considition 2025, a global hackathon focused on solving real-world challenges. This year’s theme centers on optimizing electric vehicle (EV) charging in urban areas. As a leading energy company, Vattenfall is excited to bring its expertise in e-mobility and sustainable solutions to the competition. The hackathon is open to participants worldwide and offers a unique chance to work with real data and scenarios from our own EV charging network.

Collaboration for Sustainable EV Charging

Considition 2025 is more than a competition—it is a collaboration between Vattenfall’s IT department and Consid’s digital innovation team. The challenge? To develop smart algorithms using artificial intelligence and machine learning that can improve how EV charging stations operate in busy cities. This work is vital to our mission of fossil freedom.

Participants will use the PowerZone game, which simulates a real-world charging network and customer movement. This simulation, powered by real Vattenfall data, will help teams design better solutions for balancing customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and grid capacity. Working together, we can create new ideas that support both our company’s goals and a more sustainable future.

Join the Challenge: Get Involved!

We encourage programmers, data enthusiasts, and anyone interested in innovation—to take part in Considition 2025. It’s a great opportunity to learn, collaborate, and help shape the future of EV charging. Plus, there’s an exciting prize for the most innovative and effective solution!

Your skills and creativity could make a real difference in how cities manage electric vehicle charging. Join us in this inspiring journey and help Vattenfall lead the way to a greener tomorrow. Let’s power the move towards sustainable mobility—together.
