The Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind, as well as other non-hydro renewable activities such as solar and batteries. Be in your element with Business Area Wind 

Our wind, solar and batteries business offers a unique opportunity to be in your element working to help harness the forces which will help our showcase our society that there is a way to achieving fossil freedom. 

As part of BA Wind you will play a key role in one of the most exciting pipelines in the industry with >25GW of capacity stretching out more than a decade ahead across our key European markets. 

You won’t only be involved in developing projects but pioneering cutting-edge innovation, new business models and ways of working with communities and the environment. Working as part of a leading European utility also means you could be helping a growing number of major businesses and brands achieve their own sustainability goals through partnerships. 

As Senior Strategy Advisor and part of our project teams, you will closely collaborate with our internal sponsors to find solutions to our most complex challenges. Our business, as well as the industry, is changing rapidly. To be successful, you need to leverage your strategic and commercial thinking and apply your problem-solving skills. You will report to the Head of Strategic Projects, a strategically oriented function in the Business Unit Offshore. 

We work in an international setting and with direct exposure to senior management. For your work, you will be supported by a diverse group of peers, who have a background from management consulting companies or have previously worked in strategy functions.  

Responsibilities and qualifications 

Your tasks and responsibilities 

Learn about the challenges our business is facing and work closely with your colleagues in Strategic Projects and beyond to identify improvement opportunities for our Business Unit. 

Contribute to setting the overall strategic direction of BU Offshore. 

Scope, align, and lead strategic initiatives and improvement projects in line with our strategy and operating model. Ensure success through convincing storytelling, innovative concepts, effective presentations and analysis reports for our project sponsors & management team. 

Actively collaborate with project sponsors, the BU Offshore line organisation and other stakeholders, building your reputation as a trusted advisor. 

Support the development and mentoring of our (Associate) Strategy Advisors and show effective leadership in your project teams. 


Qualifications

Advanced university degree (or equal) in business/economics/engineering with 5+ years of work experience, including a background from strategy consulting or a strategy unit (PM / Engagement Manager level). 

Attitude for problem solving, analytics, strategic-, critical- and creative thinking. 

Self-starter with a can-do attitude and the proven ability to deliver. 

Strong track record in project management and functional team leadership. 

Experience and confidence in working with and presenting to Senior Management. 

Background in the Wind industry preferable, but not required.
