On the current journey of Vattenfall towards S/4 HANA our SAP Basis Team is responsible for the management of an international technical SAP system landscape running in the cloud as well as on premise.

For the SAP Basis Team, part of Vattenfall IT we are now looking for an ambitious Senior SAP Basis Administrator in Germany, Sweden, Poland or the Netherlands. 

As a Senior SAP Basis Administrator you will take responsibility of the configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of the technology stack like SAP application and underlaying database Exadata.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of Vattenfall’s international SAP system landscape, including both cloud and on-premise environments
  • Take primary responsibility for the configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP technology stack and underlying databases
  • Manage and execute software upgrades, system installations, configuration, and support package installations
  • Oversee HANA database administration and user authentication/security access management
  • Plan and manage technical projects and upgrades, coordinating necessary resources
  • Ensure secure operation and setup of SAP landscapes
  • Conduct SAP Basis and database workload analysis and performance tuning
  • Collaborate with integration teams to connect surrounding systems based on current security standards
  • Maintain and setup SAP High-Availability solutions.
  • Advanced database administration (Oracle, HANA)
  • Maintain and setup SAP BTP and support BDC platform
  • Deep understanding of data-center infrastructure, including hardware and software (operating systems/UNIX and Linux)
  • Participate in and potentially lead on-call duty rotation

Qualifications

Who are you? 

As our SAP Basis Administrator you bring strong communication skills, an open mindset and solid problem solving skills. 

Next to this you bring:

  • University degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent technical qualification/experience
  • Extensive understanding of SAP software architecture and landscape design
  • Strong technical background in SAP technologies
  • Extensive experience working in a SAP Basis team in a similar size and complexity organization
  • Proven ability to cooperate with team members and customers
  • Operation of SAP in cloud environments incl. SAP BTP
  • Good to have knowledge of SAP Industry solutions Utilites, and SAP CRM
  • Proven knowledge in ISMS compliant SAP technical operation.
  • Professional English language skills - verbal and written
  • Local language skills could be helpful but not mandatory
