We are looking for the brightest IT minds that want to join us in our journey towards fossil freedom, in this case a Senior ETRM Software Engineer in our Power & Gas Solutions Team. You will guide the development of GP24, a self-develop Gas Scheduling tool, and overall automation and processes.  

The team you can join works closely with business – our Power & Gas traders – and takes the leading role in supplying custom developed solutions. 

What will you do?  
You and your team colleagues are developing and maintaining software solutions using latest technologies and methodologies to nurture business development and maximize business value 

Your tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Design, translate requirements for and maintain mission-critical Gas applications powering Vattenfall’s energy trading operations 
  • Take full ownership of the application lifecycle: from requirement engineering and testing to deployment, maintaining, monitoring, and continuous improvement 
  • Work in close partnership with the Product Owner, Business Analysts, internal Stakeholders, and Developers to deliver the central Gas Trading Platform for Vattenfall

As our Senior ETRM Software Engineer you will bring: 

  • > 7 years experience with 
  • Requirement Engineering for Gas Scheduling 
  • Testing & Maintenance of Gas Scheduling Solutions (especially GP+) 
  • Strong motivation to drive and accelerate the replacement of GP+ with GP24 
  • Ability to own & lead the transition to GP24  
  • Experience with high-availability, system critical applications, especially Gas Scheduling Applications. 
  • Motivation to constantly work on improving our Gas Scheduling Application 
  • High agile mindset and experience in agile teams. Open knowledge sharing approach 
  • Proven ability to communicate directly and efficiently with Gas Traders (PTO & Intraday) 
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken). German is a plus
