Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind, as well as other non-hydro renewable initiatives like PV/Solar and batteries. We currently develop, construct and operate wind generation assets across Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further.

Business Unit Offshore is responsible to manage and operate all Offshore wind parks as well as Offshore wind projects with regards to development, construction and execution within the Region Continental/UK.

The Junior Project Manager will be part of the Regional Support Germany.

In Regional Support we gather the functions of

  • RS Project Management (season campaign preparation)
  • Logistic Leads
  • Project Planning
  • Administrative Support

We are supporting the offshore wind parks in the German Region DanTysk, Sandbank and Nordlicht.

Vattenfall is seeking a motivated individual for the role as Junior Project Manager in Regional Support Germany. In this position, you will support wind farms in the German Region and work from the O&M site in Hamburg & Esbjerg, ensuring standardized assistance for various locations.

As a Junior Project Manager, you will be the main contact for internal, centrally managed project activities initiated by support functions such as engineering or technical support. Your role is to make sure these activities are successfully integrated and implemented at the site, with a strong focus on safe and efficient offshore operations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Participate in regional project activities, including planned maintenance and minor corrective actions on wind turbines.
  • Coordinate the scope and package (documentation, tools, spare parts) for annual comprehensive services.
  • Review readiness for execution and act as a link to central support functions.
  • Identify and leverage synergies within the project portfolio.
  • Support project execution and collaborate with external partners, especially in offshore operations.
  • Manage projects directly on site to ensure the integration of centrally managed projects.
  • Provide service packages at the site, including planning, spare parts, and documentation.
  • Handle interfaces between the site and central support functions.
  • Maintain site-specific documentation (e.g. RAMS) related to the projects.
  • Compile and assess service reports from external providers at the site.
  • Communicate with external partners to ensure that qualifications and competencies needed for onsite work are known in advance.

Location: Hamburg (Germany) or Esbjerg (Denmark)


Qualifications

Your profile:

  • A completed technical degree (e.g. marine engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering), or training as a wind turbine technician, or another comparable technical qualification.
  • Strong motivation and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Initial relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the wind energy sector or other power generation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
  • Basic understanding of operation and maintenance in a related field.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Very good English skills, spoken and written.
