Vattenfall is looking for two Security Officers (with focus on OT Cyber Security), to Corporate Security & Resilience. The locations of these positions are flexible in Sweden, Finland or the Netherlands.

The Corporate Security & Resilience function at Vattenfall is a modern, flexible, and agile unit that is operating in a challenging and rapidly changing environment. We strive to embed security & resilience into all our business operations and we apply a holistic and risk-based approach to constantly adopt and improve our security posture. The main tasks of the function is to provide leadership, governance and support throughout the Vattenfall Group to ensure mitigation of security related risks as well as regulatory compliance.

The Security Officers will report to the Group OT Security Officer and be a part of the Information- and Cyber security team. We are open for junior as well as senior applicants.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Drive and shape how we work with securing our Operational Technology within Vattenfall
  • Drive co-operation groups, plan, coordinate and participate in group-wide security initiatives.
  • Build up awareness and competence throughout the Vattenfall group
  • Support our diverse operations with OT security guidance.
  • Be part of developing and upholding incident response and coordination capabilities within Vattenfall.
  • Handle interactions with relevant governmental bodies in the country in question and co-ordinate with business stakeholders.
  • Develop necessary governance from a national and legal-entity perspective, to be included in, and ensure alignment with, group steering.
  • Uphold necessary national internal and external contacts as to support Vattenfall operations.

Qualifications

You are a driven and curious security leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at collaborating with key stakeholders to solve complex challenges. With strong analytical skills, high integrity, and a positive, proactive attitude, you communicate information and cyber security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, internally and externally. Your ability to build and maintain social relationships, take ownership, and deliver results under pressure is complemented by a solid understanding of information and cyber security, including the unique demands of operational technology, which is essential for success at Vattenfall, an energy company. Strong teamwork, along with your capacity to drive initiatives forward, are key to excelling in these roles. The ideal candidates should bring the following qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent educational background
  • 1-10 years of experience, depending on junior or senior profile, in a relevant position
  • Master our group language English, both spoken and written, on an excellent professional level. Meritorious with Dutch and/or Finish, both spoken and written, on an excellent professional level.
  • Knowledge of EU and EU working methods and requirements for the energy industry
  • Meritorious with good knowledge of the national implementation of NIS2 and CER Directives in Finland and/or the Netherlands and knowledge of national authorities' working methods and requirements for the energy industry including knowledge of and preferably well positioned to take up roles in industry organisations representing Vattenfall.
