The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the organisation’s liquidity, ensuring sufficient cash availability while optimising returns and maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Oversee daily cash positioning across bank accounts, ensuring clear visibility of available funds.
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational and investment requirements.
  • Manage and oversee payment processes, transaction approvals, and cash transfers.
  • Monitor and analyse variances between forecast and actual cash flows.

Cash Forecasting & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide regular liquidity and cash reporting to management to support decision-making.
  • Support multi-entity liquidity management (including SPVs), including intercompany funding and short-term cash planning.

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Support month-end and year-end processes, including inputs to financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Support internal and external audit processes as required.

Carve-Out & Transition Responsibilities

  • Act as the key interface with Vattenfall Treasury and external banking partners (e.g. Nordea) during the TSA period.
  • Support the implementation and optimisation of Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
  • Develop and document treasury policies, procedures, and controls for the standalone organisation.
  • Support ERP system implementation and TSA exit, with a focus on improving cash visibility, reporting accuracy, and process standardisation.

Role Evolution (Post-TSA)

The scope of this role is expected to expand following transition to a standalone treasury operating model.

Operational Treasury Activities

  • Execution of payments and cash transfers.
  • Bank account administration, including mandates and signatories.
  • Bank reconciliations and enhanced cash reporting.
  • Day-to-day management of treasury systems and payment processes.

Banking, Funding & Financial Risk (scope to be confirmed)

  • Manage relationships with banks and financial service providers.
  • Support negotiation and management of bank facilities, fees, and credit arrangements.
  • Oversee bank account structures, connectivity (e.g. SWIFT/host-to-host), and access controls.
  • Support management of debt, loans, and credit facilities, including covenant monitoring.
  • Contribute to capital structure planning and financing activities (e.g. refinancing or new facilities).
  • Identify and support management of financial risks, including liquidity, interest rate, foreign exchange, and counterparty risk.

 

 


Qualifications

  • 3–6 years in Treasury operations / cash management or Accounts / finance operations
  • Hands-on experience with Payments, reconciliations, bank systems
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP and other systems)
  • Excellent Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookup, data structuring skills)
  • Ability to to work with large volumes of data accurately
  • High level of precision and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage high transaction volumes and deadlines
  • A strong command of English, both verbally and writte
  • Degree in Finance/ Accounting
  • Treasury / Accounting certificate beneficial
