In our Power Logistics team, we ensure the operational stability of essential applications that support energy trading activities, including scheduling, capacity management, spot auctions, and communication with transmission system operators. With high integration across teams and a fast-changing market, our work is both dynamic and impactful.

That is why we are now looking to hire a Senior .NET Developer. 

What will you do? 

As a Senior .NET Developer in the Power Logistics team, you will help shape the technological landscape of energy trading at Vattenfall. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and architects to design and implement modern, scalable solutions. You’ll also have the opportunity to drive architectural decisions, improve standards, and ensure systems are reliable, secure, and ready for the energy markets of tomorrow.
 
Your tasks and responsibilities: 

• shape the tech direction of our Power Logistics systems in collaboration with team members and architects

• full-stack development of new features and improvements using .NET 8, Angular, Azure and Kubernetes

• operate critical systems: build, test, deploy and monitor – "you build it, you run it"

• interface with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

• connect applications across our ecosystem using REST APIs, service buses, and event-driven tools

• take ownership of bugs, identify improvement patterns, and support the product owner with enhancements

• engage in agile ceremonies and contribute to a collaborative, learning-driven team culture

• (optional) participate in 24/7 On-Call support for critical systems

Location  
Katowice or remotely from Poland with occasional business travel to our IT countries. 

Who are you?

As our Senior .NET Developer, you will bring:

• Several years of experience as a Software Developer 

• Strong knowledge of .NET 8, .NET Framework, C#, TypeScript, Azure

• Good experience with: Infrastructure as code (e.g. terraform), SQL Server, Angular, Kubernetes, Service Bus, Eventhub, Kafka, Rest API, Postmanes

• Familiarity with SQL Server, Angular, REST APIs, Kafka, Service Bus, Eventhub

• Good understanding of software architecture and best practices

• Excellent communication skills and strong customer orientation

• A proactive mindset with a drive to improve standards and deliver reliable systems

• Knowledge of the energy sector, especially energy trading or ETRM are a definite plus.

• Proficient knowledge of English
