About the traineeship.

Your role as a Trainee – Analyst Group Strategy

You will join Group Strategy, where we shape Vattenfall's strategic direction and long-term development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and gain unique insight into how strategic decisions are developed and implemented across the company. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to initiatives that support Vattenfall's future development. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will gradually take on greater responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in strategy while bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the team.

Your responsibilities:

• Supporting strategic analyses, portfolio-level discussions and company-wide strategic initiatives
• Helping structure complex questions and translate them into clear insights and recommendations
• Preparing strategic presentations, briefings, and communication material for senior stakeholders
• Supporting workshops, meetings, and stakeholder dialogues across the organization

Your qualifications as a Trainee - Analyst Group Strategy

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Economics, or a related field with a strong business focus
• Previous internship experience within strategy, consulting, finance or a related area

You should also recognize yourself in

• Strong analytical skills, able to work with both details and the bigger picture
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Self-leadership and the ability to work independently
• Communication skills in Swedish or another Nordic language

To be considered for our traineeship, you should:

• Have completed, or expect to complete, an academic degree before the programme starts in March 2027 
• Have no more than one year of relevant work experience after graduation, excluding internships and working-student roles 
• Be fluent in English 
• Be available for the full-time programme from its start date 
• Have the right to work in the country where the position is based, or meet the stated work-permit requirements 
• Be open to mobility opportunities and collaborating across different locations. 
• Demonstrate curiosity, initiative and growth mindset while sharing our values: Active, Open, Positive and Safe.

You will be working in the department Group Strategy and located in Stockholm (Solna), Sweden.

No cover letter or motivation letter is needed. The deadline to apply is October 18th, 2026. Selection will start after the application period with online tests, followed by interviews between the end of October to end November. The final recruitment process will be completed by December, with a pre-employment screening. The Vattenfall International Trainee Programme starts on March 1st, 2027.
