Facility Officer

Please note: To be considered for this role, it is essential that you live within approximately 1 hour’s drive of the Penzance office. This ensures you can respond promptly to urgent issues and be present for day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Do

As our Facility Officer, you’ll be the go-to person for all things facilities-related at our Penzance office. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, support hybrid working needs, and lead small local projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing essential services: security, cleaning, catering, maintenance, recycling, and more.
• Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for facility service requests (e.g. stationery, meeting rooms, catering).
• Managing third-party contractors and ensuring service quality.
• Supporting office changes, relocations, and fit-outs.
• Preparing and monitoring the office’s operational budget (OPEX).
• Responding to urgent issues and ensuring a safe, compliant environment.
• Collaborating with internal teams (HR, IT, H&S) and external partners (landlords, service providers).

• Proven experience in Facility Management or a related field.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders with flexibility and professionalism.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Understanding of hybrid working environments and space utilisation.

Your Scope

• You’ll be responsible for the Penzance office and provide remote support to our site at the PyC Windfarm.
• While you won’t manage direct reports, you’ll steer contractors and project teams effectively.

You’ll collaborate closely with:

• Local staff and visiting colleagues.
• Business Areas and Staff Functions (Human Resources, IT, Health & Safety).
• External partners including landlords, building managers, and service contractors.
