Working Student Position in the Environment & Sustainability team – Sustainable Design & Sustainable Procurement (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Working Student (f/m/d) in the Environment & Sustainability team – Sustainable Design & Sustainable Procurement within the Business Area Wind.

For our office in Hamburg 

Do you want to be part of Vattenfall's transition to a more sustainable energy system and contribute to the development, construction, and operation of our renewable energies (Onshore & Offshore Wind; Solar and Battery Storage Projects) in the Business Area Wind?

A dedicated contact person will provide you with the necessary support and regular feedback.

Your Main Tasks

• Support the team with data management, including structuring and maintenance of data bases and collection of data for Life Cycle Assessments as well as data reporting.
• Support, maintain and update our SharePoint structure for storing documents and information
• Facilitate creation, updating/improving and maintenance of key documents, templates, processes, presentations and communications
• Assist in maintaining and storing documentation from procurement tenders and extract key data points that feed into centralized data bases.
• Facilliate and drive communication initiatives within the team
• Support the organization and logistics of meetings, events and workshops
• Conduct research on sustainable practices and emerging trends in the renewable energy industry
• Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the team´s operations.
• Help prepare reports, presentations and documentation related to sustainability initiatives

• You are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, e.g. Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainable Development or related field with more than a year left of your education
• You have a strong interest in sustainability and renewable energy and most importantly you are eager to learn and gain new experiences
• You have excellent research and analytical skills with a keen interest in data management
• You are proficient in standard software packages in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint (PowerBi viewed favourably)
• You have good communication skills and are well versed in communicating in both spoken and written English
• You are well-strutured, detail oriented and able to work independently and organize your own work with the ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements and priorities without loosing focus
• Your inter-personal skills are excellent and you are energized by engaging in a multidisciplinary and international organization with a broad range of co-workers spread over multiple locations
• Experience with databases or automisation would be valuable (Matlab, SQL, C, Python)

• Start: as soon as possible   
• Duration: Three months probationary period with the aim of extension
• Working hours: 15-20 hours per week during the lecture period with the possibility of increase during the lecture-free period
