Within Business Area Markets, the Customers Business Unit is responsible for the Commodity and Renewables Origination business. Through our digital market access platforms, we enable our customers to trade in relevant energy markets. In addition, we optimize and integrate renewable energy assets into the market.

These activities form the foundation for effectively managing risks for our customers while optimizing procurement and generation portfolios. We are a market-leading player in the growing fields of Green PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) and Corporate PPAs.

For Vattenfall Energy Trading GmbH, we are looking to hire a

Working Student in Renewables Customer & Contract Management (f/m/d)

for our office in Hamburg, as soon as possible.

Your Tasks

  • Maintain, optimize and further develop Power BI reports and dashboards for the energy markets in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK
  • Monitor and improve Microsoft Fabric dataflows and pipelines to ensure reliable reporting processes
  • Work with complex data models and integrate time series and master data
  • Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes and support the implementation of sustainable solutions
  • Contribute to modern data engineering topics such as SQL, Python and PySpark

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Interest in data analytics, business intelligence and complex business processes
  • Strong analytical thinking and an interest in solving challenging data problems
  • First experience with data analysis, reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI
  • SQL knowledge is a plus, but not required
  • Curiosity, proactivity and a willingness to learn new topics
  • Fluent English  

Additional Information

  • Fixed-term contract (starting as soon as possible)
  • 20 hours per week during the semester
  • Up to 40 hours per week during semester breaks
  • Minimum contract duration: one year
  • Flexible working arrangements with a mix of home office and office presence in Hamburg
