Working Student – Risk Management (Quality Check & Risk Assessment Scheduling) to support BU Solar & Batteries in BA Wind

Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as working student to support Business Controlling for Business Unit Solar & Batteries in BA Wind.  
  
Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like Solar and Batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we - have a clear strategy to develop our Solar and Batteries operations further. 

Project Objective: 

We are looking for a Working Student to support Risk Management activities for Hybrid project (Solar + Battery), with a strong focus on quality assurance of risk documentation and planning/scheduling QRA risk assessments and workshops. 

As working student in the Risk Management you will have the following key tasks: 

Key Responsibilities 

Risk Assessment Planning & Scheduling 

• You will be supporting the risk management process; identification, assessment, and proactive management of risk register (both threats and opportunities. 

• Ensure risk register is kept up to date and using industry best practice according to ISO31000:2018. 

• Integrate Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) for Cost and Schedule in the project, help management interpret results with possible Scenarios. 

• Track open actions, due dates, and escalation triggers; ensure timely closure and documentation. 

​​​​​​​Documentation & Process Support 

• Maintain templates, checklists, and process documentation; continuously improve “Work in Smart & Independence”. 

• Support reporting: weekly/monthly status updates, risk manager report, and preparation of management-ready materials. 

On-site support (when needed) 

• Occasional travel to sites for Hybrid construction site, and workshops/audits and coordination support. 

Must-have Qualifications  

• Strong research skill and Interested in renewable energy industry. 

• Currently enrolled at a university (Bachelor/Master) and at least one or plus years to finish the study in Engineering /Business/ Finance or similar. 

• German language: B2 level  

• Strong attention to detail; ability to execute quality checks with a structured mindset. 

• Good organizational & Communication skills: reliable, self- dependent, follow-ups, and stakeholder coordination. 

Nice-to-have 

• First exposure to risk management, quality management, audits, or finance controls. 

• Experience with risk registers, issue trackers, or document control systems (e.g., SharePoint).
