Senior QA Specialist with a focus on Test Automation

for our office in Hamburg.

As a Senior QA Specialist, you will work at the heart of our Energy Trading Landscape, engaging with numerous interfaces and stakeholders. You will be tasked with strengthening our overall quality assurance and help to establish testing processes.

Based in our brand-new Hamburg Hafencity office, you will collaborate with a diverse and international team. Your work will be closely related to the European energy transition, contributing to a sustainable and greener future.

Your key responsibilities:

• Drive our Quality Assurance and Test Automation Development and the introduction of related testing tools.
• Make sure testing effort is owned by the whole team.
• Not only perform tests but also be actively involved from the very beginning — participating in requirements analysis and the creation of user stories
• Direct interaction with a variety of stakeholders, including trading, risk management and logistics
• Build expertise on both the business and the system, learning from long-standing experts in the field
• Ensuring regular stress- und disaster recovery tests, for our application landscape
• Working on operational tasks supporting users of the system based on a rotating schedule in the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. We welcome applicants from various fields of study, as the exact discipline is less important than your ability to solve complex problems.
• Completed training in software testing or equivalent certifications (e.g., ISTQB, preferably ISTQB Agile Tester).
• Proven experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, or custom-built frameworks)
• Familiarity with Power Shell scripting and Python development experience
• Experience with Azure DevOps and integration of automated tests into pipelines
• Extensive experience in QA within trading or any financial platforms, with a focus on testing complex trading systems
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset

• English language skills are required. German language skills are a plus
