Vattenfall Europe Windkraft GmbH is offering an exciting opportunity as 

Working Student (f/m/d) in the Environment & Sustainability team – Projects & Operation & Maintenance within the Business Area Wind - Location Hamburg

Do you want to be part of Vattenfall's transition to a more sustainable energy system and contribute to the development, construction, and operation of our renewable energies (Onshore & Offshore Wind; Solar and Battery Storage Projects) in the Business Area Wind?

A dedicated contact person will provide you with the necessary support and regular feedback.

Your Main Tasks

  • Compile and manage information for reporting & communication
  • Support with the creation, and updating/improving of documents, procedures, processes, presentations, and communications
  • Conduct research and strengthen team knowledge in environmental and sustainability topics
  • Analyse environmental performance data and statistics to raise awareness and improve outcomes at a business and project level and maintenance of data cleanliness.
  • Create processes and instructions for cleaning and maintenance of environmental data.
  • Analyse existing and new data sources to find trends in environmental incidents  
  • Join team support meetings and deliver updates, potentially including training sessions
  • Assist in facilitator activities, onboarding processes, and training follow-ups
  • Update and contribute to improvements in the team’s SharePoint site
  • Support the organization and logistics of meetings, events, workshops and general administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Preferred skills

  • Open and proactive approach to work and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse cultures and educational backgrounds
  • Enthusiasm for renewable energy and the environment
  • Proficiency in SharePoint preferred (and PowerBi viewed favourably).
  • Experience with databases or automisation would be valuable (Matlab, SQL, C, Python)
  • Ability to work independently and structure tasks effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to varied task requirements
  • Proficient in standard software packages - Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe (advanced Excel definitely an advantage)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

More Information 

  • Start: as soon as possible
  • Duration: Three months probationary period with the aim of extension aligned with study program
  • Working hours: 15-20 hours per week during the lecture period with the possibility of increase during the lecture-free period
