Sourcing Manager IT
As a Swedish‑speaking Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in sourcing IT goods and services and shaping our indirect procurement landscape. Your main focus will be on IT Procurement, with opportunities to support other indirect categories such as People & Culture (P&C), Real Estate & Facility Management (REFM) and Consulting Services.

This is a strategic, international role where you collaborate closely with category managers and stakeholders across multiple countries. You influence how we buy IT products and services that support digitalization, innovation and sustainability within Vattenfall.

Your responsibilities
As a Sourcing Manager IT you will:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end sourcing process for IT products and services, aligned with Vattenfall’s sustainability, digital transformation and business goals.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into actionable sourcing strategies and build strong internal relationships.
  • Conduct market research, identify suitable suppliers and create competitive sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate proposals and negotiate optimal pricing, terms and long‑term value.
  • Prepare and finalize contracts in cooperation with Legal, ensuring full compliance with Vattenfall standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Support long‑term supplier and category strategies in collaboration with category managers.

Qualifications

Who are you?
As an experienced Sourcing Manager IT you at least have:

  • Solid experience in IT sourcing or IT procurement, ideally 5+ years (experience level may vary, but the ability to independently lead complex sourcing processes is essential).
  • Experience working with international suppliers or cross‑cultural teams.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, contract basics and compliance.
  • Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Academic degree in Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, Business or similar — or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the energy or tech sector.
  • Experience with sustainability criteria or digital procurement tools.
