Our Business Area (BA) Markets is looking for the right person to fill the position as 

Renewables Product Manager 

within the Renewables Portfolio Management Team in our office in Hamburg

What you will do

  • Take full ownership of pricing and managing PPAs and CPPAs across Vattenfall’s core markets, ensuring commercially sound and competitive offerings.
  • Support negotiations and contract drafting, and manage internal and external stakeholders to secure smooth alignment and implementation of PPA/CPPA solutions.
  • Turn valuation insights into actionable commercial strategies, developing innovative solutions for both internal partners and customers.
  • Drive the commercial success and full lifecycle of our products — from initial offer and operational phases to product adaptation and contract phase-out.
  • Enable strong collaboration with Sales, Origination, and key stakeholders in BA Wind and BU Assets to deliver high-quality commercial outcomes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on products, customer portfolios, and additional data to support decision-making and continuous improvement. 

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who enjoys building long-lasting relationships with diverse groups of people. You value openness and use your “superpowers” in communication and collaboration to create meaningful impact — both with our customers and across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

You should also recognize yourself in the following:

  • Completed commercial or technical university degree (or a comparable qualification).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the energy industry, with a strong track record in renewable energy.
  • A deep understanding and strong network within the renewable energy landscape.
  • Proven experience working with CPPAs and PPAs in the energy trading sector.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • High degree of initiative paired with an independent and structured working style.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Swedish, German, or Dutch is considered a plus.

We employ around 500 professionals who are active across Europe with offices in Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom to drive the energy transition together. Our role in Vattenfall is to maximize the value of the overall portfolio by optimizing and dispatching, hedging, and sourcing for Vattenfall's sales and generation volumes. We serve as Vattenfall’s single access to energy commodity markets and trade electricity, emissions, fuels, freight, and renewable certificates.  

Within Markets BU Customers is offering power purchase agreements to operators of wind or solar parks. We provide market access services to large customers and (regional) energy suppliers and connect demand-side flexibility of industry to stabilize the electricity grid. We furthermore source electricity for Vattenfall’s consumer- and business customers with a strong focus to increase renewable sources of electricity.
