The Corporate Security & Resilience function strives to be a modern, flexible and agile security function with sound understanding of emerging (security) threats. Our main role is to provide governance and expert support throughout the Vattenfall Group to ensure mitigation of security related risks as well as regulatory compliance in all countries where we operate. 

As part of our commitment to accelerating the transition to a more sustainable and resilient energy system, we have embarked on an ambitious digitalisation journey. The energy landscape is evolving rapidly, calling for new ways of working and the ability to leverage emerging technologies such as Internet of Things and E‑Mobility, while strengthening our capabilities to address an increasingly complex security risk environment. 

To align with these challenges, we are now looking for a Director Information & Cyber Security.  

In this senior and global role, you will head a team of talented colleagues with a true ambition to become a benchmark business-oriented security organisation. Together with your team, you will develop, drive and implement a holistic information and cyber security framework for Vattenfall Group. You will directly manage a team of senior security experts within the security resilience field and functionally lead security professionals in the group wide security and resilience organisation. In your role, you will be part of the CS&R Management Team report directly to Vattenfall’s Chief Security Officer (CSO).  

Main responsibilities: 

  • Leading a team of dedicated colleagues to develop information- and cyber security policies, guidance and create awareness. 
  • Leading and aligning the information & cyber security strategy (as part of the overall security strategy) throughout the Group.  
  • As a member of the CS&R Management team, and the Security Council; the role provides input and is part of defining and developing the overall Group Security & Resilience strategy. 
  • Continuously monitoring processes and driving improvements in efficiency and quality of the overall security & resilience portfolio. 
  • Being up to date with industry best practices, vendor capabilities, academic frameworks and relevant authorities to sustain a state-of-the-art and highly innovative information & cyber security program. 

The role can be based in Stockholm or Gothenburg.


Qualifications

You are used to build trust through your integrity and your ability to keep focus on what is important for the organisation. As a leader, you exemplify the four pillars of the Vattenfall LEAD model: Lead Yourself, Enable People, Align Teams, and Drive Performance. 

Next to this you: 

  • Have a Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent educational background. 
  • Have extensive experience in relevant managerial positions in information and cyber security management with an international focus in multi-stakeholder environments. 
  • Are well articulated and persuasive and can communicate security and resilience related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.  
  • Are structured, process oriented, analytical and equipped with a sound judgment. 
  • Have strong knowledge of both IT and OT security. 
  • Possess excellent command of the Swedish and English language, both verbal and written. 
  • Have good knowledge of EU and national authorities' working methods and requirements for the energy industry.
