Join us at Vattenfall and help shape the future of Intraday Power Trading. We are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Angular and TypeScript to build and enhance mission-critical tools used directly by our traders.

You will be part of the solution team working closely with business stakeholders. This team plays a leading role in delivering custom-built solutions that drive real business impact — all within a modern SCRUM framework.

What you’ll do

You and your team colleagues will analyse and develop software solutions using modern technologies and methodologies to nurture business development while staying compliant with our software architectural and security guidelines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and extending functionalities within our Intraday Continental IT landscape
  • Developing and enhancing core tools used daily by our intraday traders, with a strong focus on Angular frontends and visualisation
  • Performing hands-on application development and staying up to date with modern technologies
  • Collaborating directly with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and processes
  • Translating functional requirements into IT solutions
  • Working in a mature agile/scrum team with a strong delivery mindset

What you bring

Core qualifications:

  • At least 4+ years of experience in Angular-focused front-end development
  • Deep expertise in Angular 18+, RxJS, NgRx, Additionally: Angular Material, PrimeNG
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS
  • Experience with .NET Core / .NET / C#
  • Strong communication skills and customer-centric mindset
  • Team player with good command of English

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Terraform, SQL Server, Kubernetes, Service Bus, EventHub, Kafka, REST APIs, Git, VS Code
  • Understanding of the energy or trading domain
  • German language skills at any level
