Vattenfall is now looking for a student worker (15 hours/week) to fill the role of Student worker Content Manager Denmark, in our Media Relations team. As Student worker Content Manager, you belong to Media Relations and are responsible for strengthening Vattenfall's brand and creating understanding for Vattenfall's strategy through planned and well-executed communication in earned media, own internal channels and in the external newsroom. In Media Relations, many texts are produced, for example web texts, copy for social channels, press releases, the newsletter "THE EDIT" and internal news, in addition to the traditional work with crisis communication and press service. The role of Student Worker Content Manager

The role is broad and requires both strategic and operational ability. As Student worker content, you work independently and are responsible for the work from start to finish. You write and publish articles, press releases, news texts, web texts, contribute to Vattenfall's successful external newsletter and other copy. You are expected to find new opportunities to reach out in the right channels and analyse the results of completed communication activities. You are fluent in writing in both Danish and English and have an eye for details.

The responsibilities of the Student Worker Content Manager include:

  • Identifying and writing stories for Vattenfall’s intranet and external Newsroom on matters of interest originating in the Danish organisation.
  • Participating in weekly editorial meetings in the International Editorial Team where suggestions for articles from other Vattenfall countries and input with stories from Denmark are discussed.
  • Participating in the editorial work on Vattenfall’s external newsletter – THE EDIT.
  • Editing/localising stories, including review of translations where applicable.
  • Publishing stories on the intranet and external Newsroom in the CMS-based system.
  • Assisting the Danish Country Manager and her PA with internal communication to the Danish employees. This among other things involves assisting with a quarterly newsletter in Denmark and posting Danish updates and events on our internal messaging and information system.
  • Assisting the Danish Head of Communications with drafting and editing texts for the Danish intranet and external Newsroom.
  • Full professional proficiency in spoken and written Danish and English is required.

 


Qualifications

Profile and personal skills:

  • You’re currently in university, following an education in communication, journalism, cand. ling. merc. (business language & international business communications.)
  • Strategic, creative and eager to work in a proactive way and cross discipline
  • Has an interest in climate and energy topics and follows societal and political topics and discussions and understands the communication impact and possibilities for Vattenfall
  • Cooperative team player who finds joy in working with others
  • Ability to see the big picture and to find relevance for Vattenfall in external contexts
  • Good understanding of different channels and target groups
  • Knowledge of SEO, content management systems and other digital tools is a pro
  • Drive to consistently learn and develop and share knowledge

You’ll report to the Director of Media Relations in Sweden, but will also work closely with the Head of Communications Denmark and the Danish country manager.

The location of this position is Copenhagen, Denmark.
