You will join the Onshore Financial Controlling team in Business Area (BA) Wind. The team oversees budgeting, performance tracking, and cost optimisation for our onshore wind portfolio across multiple European markets. By turning raw data into actionable insights, Financial Controlling helps ensure our projects deliver maximum value while supporting Vattenfall’s broader sustainability goals.

Company Description

Vattenfall is a leading European energy company driving the transition to a sustainable energy system. We have been electrifying industries, powering homes and transforming life through innovation for more than 100 years. We employ around 21 000 people mostly in our core markets in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the UK.

From updating key reports to running data-quality checks, you’ll play an important part in keeping our financial information accurate, timely, and decision-ready. The role offers a practical springboard into corporate finance and renewable-energy project controlling—ideal for students eager to apply classroom theory to real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update the monthly FTE report with the latest actuals.
  • Run the actuals-update cycle for Market & Site Development projects.
  • Support in maintaining the Cost Control Tool for UK and German onshore projects.
  • Support in updating CAPEX plan for MSD projects
  • Perform data-quality checks in MSD (Market & Site Development) reports.
  • Request new SAP master-data items (e.g., WBS elements) in coordination with project controllers.
  • Assist the team with minor analyses, presentations, or data extractions as needed.

Your profile / who are you?

You are a proactive, detail-oriented bachelor student who enjoys working with numbers and translating them into clear insights. Comfortable in multicultural environments, you like collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines and feel at ease communicating in English—whether explaining a spreadsheet or preparing a slide deck. An open mindset, willingness to learn, and curiosity about renewable-energy finance will help you thrive in our fast-moving team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor programme (or early master) in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
  • Comfortable handling large data sets and performing basic data-quality checks.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; other European languages are an advantage.
  • Team player who is open, active, and able to work in multicultural settings.
