Are you an experienced purchaser looking for a pivotal role in driving sustainable procurement practices?  Vattenfall's Procurement for Customer and Energy Solutions team offers you an opportunity to lead and innovate in a broader capacity.

Our Procurement for Customer and Energy Solutions team is international and highly experienced, engaged across almost all Vattenfall countries. As a  Sourcing Manager at Vattenfall, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our Business operations, shaping our procurement strategy, driving sustainable and inclusive practices across various high-impact categories with a focus on customer/financial services.

We are seeking a seasoned professional who is not only passionate about Procurement but also exhibits a solid Procurement toolbox and a strong personality. You will report directly to the Head of Procurement Decentral Category Management Customer & Energy Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alignment of procurement plans together with your Business partners and other relevant stakeholders, follow up on the Procurement Plan execution
  • Investigation of supplier market, development and implementation of category and contracting strategies, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Establishment of contracts in close collaboration with Legal department and other stakeholders including contract management
  • Lead supplier negotiations including internal stakeholder alignment, contract development and supplier relationship management, ensuring equitable treatment and strategic partnerships.
  • Initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce environmental impact, enhance energy efficiency, and promote circular economy principles within the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business leaders to integrate advanced sustainability and D&I requirements into procurement strategies, set  supplier evaluation criteria, and promote innovation and transparency within the supply chain.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on procurement policies and practices, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lessons learned and best practice approach

Qualifications

Who are you? 
We are looking for a driven procurement professional who excels in establishing strategic goals and a shared vision among team members. You understand the importance of leadership and strategic direction and are skilled at fostering a culture of excellence and respect. You bring valuable insights and advanced expertise that drive organizational success.

You can recognize yourself in the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or category management, with a demonstrated commitment to sustainability and D&I principles.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are highly desirable.
  • Solid procurement toolbox and strong methodological skills, ability to prioritize and to structure in order to cope with complex environment and scopes. In-depth understanding of sustainable procurement practices, including life cycle assessment and responsible sourcing standards.
  •  Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and influence
  • A native  level of Swedish and a high professional level of English is crucial. Proficiency in Finnish is an advantage.
