We are looking for an Operations Manager to support the operation and maintenance of our offshore wind farm located off the coast of Klagshamn. In this role, you will contribute to fossil-free living by ensuring that the wind farm operates with optimal performance.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the wind farm, including reporting, documentation, and approval of work permits. You will be part of our expanding onshore wind operations team.

The offshore wind farms are part of Vattenfall’s Business Area Wind, within Business Unit Offshore Wind, Operations Sweden.

The Operations Manager will support the operations of the Lillgrund wind farm, which operates under a full-service setup.

What will you do?

As the Operations Manager you will report to the Site Manager offshore Sweden, for the Lillgrund windfarm. The focus will be on working closely together with service technician, turbine suppliers and third party companies in performing daily operations. Striving for highest energy production at lowest costs, with Health and Safety  always as the number one priority.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Control and challenge maintenance planning for turbines and Balance of Plant;
  • Controlling contractor scopes;
  • Project management & Contract Management;
  • Provide periodical performance rapports;
  • Lead, coach, and support operational teams to achieve performance targets;
  • Driving improvements on technical and financial performance of site;
  • Optimize site performance and report on performance KPIs: availability, cost, safety;
  • Ensure compliance with legal & contractual obligations on site.

Qualifications

Who are you? 

A flexible, pro-active, self-motivated and organized individual with the ability to work on their own and in a team. You have the natural ability to motivate people. You can analyze technical problems and to formulate a plan of approach together with technical experts. You can communicate effectively at various levels of the organization. You possess a high attitude of safety; safety first, production second!

Next to this you bring:

  • Relevant education and/or equivalent professional experience;
  •  Previous relevant work experience within wind farm operations is considered a strong advantage;
  • Broad experience in electrical and mechanical operations and maintenance;
  • Experience in project management, contract management, and negotiation skills is an advantage;
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, SharePoint  is considered as an advantage;
  • Experience as a people manager, or demonstrated readiness to take on a people management role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
