We are looking for a High Voltage Engineer (HV Engineer) for our Business Area Wind, Offshore, to support our sites at Kriegers Flak in Denmark and Lillgrund in Sweden. The primary work location will be Klintholm Havn on Møn. You are expected to travel to Lillgrund, Klagshamn in Sweden on a regular basis.

Your main responsibilities are administration of the HV Safe System of Work in our Wind farms as well as maintenance and troubleshooting of the substations offshore.

The HV Engineer will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot on all present HV systems on the substation and Turbines. The HV engineer will be team lead and provide safety supervision and technical guidance to work parties under his responsibility on the local asset but also on remote assets. 

Description of the position as HV-Engineer

Cost optimization and maintenance of installation & operation of platform in cooperation with O&M Manager.

  • Maintenance of interfaces between the topside, foundation, the HV electrical system, and cables and the auxiliary systems and Analyze fault situations and apply corrective measures
  • Specification and integration of fire suppression into platform solutions for high voltage plant and equipment.
  • Liaising with supply chain to understand new technology developments and maturing of products.
  • Preparing and maintaining of technical documentation
  • Responsible for the HV Safe System of Work for the Off- and Onshore sites on site. Under this responsibility evaluate the system at least once a year and update the system according to the findings.
  • Secure that the persons incl. contractors working on the Electrical Installations have the necessary education, training and equipment for performing their work in a safe way. At the same time secure that the personnel have the access to the necessary systems and documents according to the Safe System of Work and the relevant legislation.
  • Specifying and approving the maintenance scheme for the electrical installation under the responsibility of the function.
  • Managing the technical interface with the grid operators to whom the Vattenfall installations are connected.

Qualifications

  • Marine/ electrical engineer, electrician or similar  
  • Preferably 3-5 years of experience with High Voltage
  • Fluent in Danish and Good English language skills
  • Flexible approach to travel and working offshore
  • Experience with operations of HV equipment, preferably from operating of HV grid
  • Experience with planning of service of HV equipment
  • Knowledge of relevant country specific legislation for Denmark
  • Detailed knowledge of EN 50110
  • Experience with planning of training for people working with HV-installations

You are result-oriented and you organize and prioritize your work effectively meeting required deadlines. You have the courage to act on your conviction, and you display discretion under time pressure.
