About the program

The program starts in September 2021. Each position is linked to a department and a location. Therefore, each position has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. You will work with your colleagues at a local and international level on a daily basis. During the assignments you will get to know other areas within Vattenfall, both national and international.

Since your development is important to us, you will together with your manager choose the best added value assignments. With new knowledge and inspiration included in the Talent Programme you'll be well prepared for a future career at Vattenfall.

During the course of the programme we will offer you the support you need, because we are passionate about sharing as much knowledge as we can. A line manager and former talents will be there to assist you on an individual basis. They will guide you so you can prepare yourself for your future career with us. Your personal growth is a key part of the programme.

Personal development plan

The Digital talent programme will give you the opportunity to visit different parts of our IT and R&D organisation, e.g. in Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland. You will take part in international workshops during the seminar weeks. During these weeks the focus will be on your individual development as well as on team level. Furthermore, hackathon, huddles and longer assignments will also be part of the programme.

Who are you?

  • We are looking for both recent graduates holding an academic degree or equivalent as well as young talents working up to 3 years after your examination
  • You are interested in digitalisation, innovation, IT​ and continuous learning on a daily basis.
  • We are looking for talents with a critical thinking and ability to apply expertise and new innovative technology
  • As a team player you understand the value of building relationships
  • You are fluent in English. Skills in other world languages can be a merit
  • You are willing to travel for shorter assignments

Application process

  1. Apply

    First things first, find the right trainee position and write your tailored cover letter. Score extra points? Answer the question: How will you contribute to a fossil free future?

    Match the key requirements with your profile

  2. Screening

    The recruiter will review your application within 2 weeks after closing the vacancy. If you are invited for the online test the recruiter will call you to explain the process and the programme.

    Be prepared for practical questions

  3. Online test

    If you invited for the online test you will receive an email with the correct instructions. Make sure you finish the test on time.

    Be prepared and not overthink it!

  4. Interviews

    When invited for an interview we are curious to meet you. Show us your superpowers online or in person. If we see a match a second interview might be part of the process.

    Don’t forget to ask questions yourself

  5. Assessment

    Some positions require zooming in even more on specific competences. You will be invited for an offline assessment on a pre-set date and time.

    Our Pre-employment screening varies per country. If a security vetting process is part of the screening you will be informed by the recruiter during the recruitment process.
