About Fanny Lindberg

Fanny Lindberg joined Vattenfall as an International Trainee in 2017 and is now Manager of team ‘Digital services’ with InCharge. Her role will be to lead product owners working on product development and management of services in our app, website and portals, for customers. “The trainee programme was a great opportunity for me to really dive into the business and to try a variety of things. I also got to spend time in cities including Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam and London and to experience different cultures and approaches.

“I joined at the same time as 20 other trainees and we became a really close group, having good fun as well as learning a lot from each other.

Start-up environment

Although Vattenfall is a very large company, it often feels like I’m working in a start-up. I get to work on cutting-edge projects in an innovative environment at high speed. We investigate technologies to facilitate the renewable energy transition through optimizing the entire system and find new ways to influence customers to make better choices to benefit the environment.

I love zooming in on a specific challenge but also seeing how it fits into the bigger picture across the energy value chain and the part it can play in helping people lead climate-smarter lives.

Colleagues like a family

The team I’m working with now is relatively small with 10 people but one of the great things I found about the trainee programme is that it helped me develop quite a big network of people across different parts of the company around Europe. I never feel afraid to contact new people in Vattenfall as I feel the company is like a family!

My work is quite technical so at home l love to do creative things, whether it’s pottery or redecorating my apartment. I’m also a keen skier and try and get to the mountains when I can.”
