Your role:
We are offering an opportunity for a senior Health & Safety (H&S) specialist with a strong background in project management and fire safety. In this role you have the responsibility to establish and managing health and safety systems specifically for Vattenfall's common offices in Denmark, with a significant focus on project management of safety initiatives and implementation.
As the H&S Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive health & safety systems, ensuring compliance with the highest standards. You will play a key role in driving and managing health & safety projects that support our corporate mission, ensuring the well-being of our employees and aligning with Vattenfall's commitment to sustainability and safety excellence.
This is an opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of this new role, creating visibility within the organization and becoming the go-to expert on fire safety and H&S for our common offices.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Leading the project management of all health & safety initiatives within Denmark's common offices, with a strong emphasis on safety standards and policy implementation.
- Acting as H&S advisor for the Work environment committees in DK. (Arbejdsmiljøorganisation AMO)
- Support and help drive the Annual Working Environment discussion ( Arbejdsmiljø drøftelse ), Workplace Health and Safety assessment(APV).
- Ensuring competence development such as: Basic H&S training, First aid, Mental Health First Aiders, Supporting training for AMO representatives, etc.
- Support Facility Service with competence to ensure a Vattenfall standard of workplaces is compliant with Danish law.
- Ensure that documents and processes are updated and that employees understand formal instructions and processes. (Swe-Eng-DK)
- Operate as focal point for registration of work related accidents to the Danish Authorities
- Function as Arbejdsmiljøkoordinator P and B for all Facility Services new projects and ongoing repair and maintenance operations.
- Together with your colleagues ensuring the development and execution of robust fire safety protocols. Furthermore insure fire/evacuation drills are conducted and evaluated.
- Take ownership and build relationships and act as the main liaison for H&S matters within Denmark, taking ownership of the role to build visibility and establish yourself as the expert within the organization.
- Drive the implementation of Vattenfall’s World Class H&S strategy and plan, within our common offices and corporate staff functions with help of your colleagues.
- Lead and manage projects aimed at improving health and safety standards, ensuring they are executed effectively and align with Vattenfall’s global objectives.
- Support the Vattenfall Business Areas (BA) in Denmark and its H&S Specialists to identify the current performance gaps, continually improve the H&S performance and drive standardization within all business areas and all locations.
- Ensure all HS Corporate initiatives are available in Danish, with specific initiatives for the Danish workforce.
Qualifications
Your profile
We are seeking an experienced H&S professional with a strong background in project management, fire safety, Danish Working environment law, ideally within a global enterprise. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading H&S initiatives that focus on non-operational settings, particularly within office environments. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership and ownership, taking charge of this role to build visibility and drive safety initiatives forward. You need to be highly communicative and build trust in your competence and as a person. Experience in navigating complex, international organizations and collaborating with culturally diverse teams is essential, along with fluency and Proficiency in English and Danish and understand Swedish.
