Women in STEM – explore careers in energy trading and operations

Are you a student and curious how your STEM skills can shape the future of energy? We want to inspire more female students to discover opportunities in this field. At the same time, we warmly welcome all STEM students who are curious about applying their skills in a real-world, data-driven environment.

Who are we?

At Vattenfall, we are working towards a fossil-free future. With around 21,000 employees, we are one of Europe’s leading energy companies, driving innovation and electrifying industries for more than 100 years.

Within Business Area Markets, we manage and optimize energy trading across European markets. In OU Operations, we enable this through data, technology, and analytical expertise, connecting generation, trading, and customers.

Our main German office is located in Hamburg.

Building diverse talent

We are committed to increasing diversity in technology- and data-driven roles and particularly want to encourage more women to explore careers in this field.

This webinar is therefore designed to inspire female STEM students to discover opportunities in energy trading and operations. At the same time, we warmly welcome all students in STEM or quantitative disciplines who are curious, analytical, and motivated to make an impact.

You are the right fit to join our webinar if you…

  • study a STEM or quantitative field (e.g. IT, engineering, maths, physics, economics)
  • are curious about energy, technology, and real-world impact
  • bring an analytical mindset
  • enjoy working with data, programming, or solving complex problems
  • communicate confidently in English
