In the changing energy mix, Solar & Battery projects have a key role to play in accelerating the shift to a smarter system. As part of one of the fastest-growing areas of the business,

you’ll be helping overcome some of the industry’s biggest challenges and working at the forefront of the integration of renewable generation with battery storage.

How is it connected to our expertises?

Engineering & Science

Raising the bar

Finding new ways to engineer solar PV farms to enable them to be developed quicker and cheaper will help us rapidly increase our capacity. That doesn’t mean cutting corners, but designing high quality assets able to generate safely for many years ahead.

Optimising benefits

As a Civil Engineer you’ll be taking an intelligent design approach to ensure projects deliver for both Vattenfall and the environment for many years ahead.
For example, by establishing the optimum layout of panels at a particular site you will help maximise generation and boost biodiversity. That in turn can cut the cost of maintenance, for example reducing the frequency grass needs to be cut.
As an Electrical Engineer you’ll be looking at new ways of designing projects and connecting them in the most efficient way to battery facilities and the grid.

Project management

On time, on budget

The pressure to keep the cost of solar competitive means efficient project management is crucial to enable us to meet our ambitions for growth in PV generation capacity.

Bringing designs to life

As a Construction Manager you’ll be in charge of making sure every aspect of the design of a project becomes reality.
Ensuring the highest HSE standards are maintained means that as a Site Manager you’ll have day-to-day accountability for work on a project with a significant role in liaising with contractors and suppliers.
As a Project Co-ordinator you’ll be the key link between engineering and project management during development and construction, helping ensure sites are delivered on time and within budget.
