Engineering & Science

Long-term planning

We’re making significant investments across our nuclear business to ensure the highest levels of safety and high availability of production for years into the future.

Expert knowledge

As a System Designer, you will be involved in the development of plans for a safe final repository system for spent nuclear fuel, one of the most significant environmental protection projects of its kind anywhere in Europe.
Your deep understanding of process systems and an ability to think strategically could see you as a Process Engineer, designing improvements and modifications to key systems.
As a Reactor Physicist your analytical superpowers could be deployed as part of a highly qualified team working on the analysis of optimal designs for nuclear fuel and cores.

Operation & Maintenance

Sharing expertise

The nature of nuclear operations means that your skills, knowledge and willingness to share your expertise will be highly valued and you’ll be working in an environment which aims to be world-leading.

Team approach

Your focus on safety and detail, perhaps developed in a control room environment in another industry, could see you as Process Operator working as part of a supportive shift team monitoring reactor and turbine operation.
As a Waste & Logistics Lead in our Nuclear Decommissioning Unit, you’ll work closely with technical staff to ensure safe and cost-effective waste management programmes across multiple sites. Your risk management expertise could see you as a Radiation Protection Specialist, a key part of the team which ensures a safe working environment at all times.
