Engineering & Science

New solutions

Your technical skills and problem-solving mindset will be important to realise the potential for accelerating decarbonisation through developments such as sector coupling to integrate waste heat with renewable heat sources and power generation.

Challenging projects

As a Technical Engineer, you’ll be looking at the feasibility and design of new customer products such as a platform to use advanced analytics to reduce waste heat while improving the indoor climate for customers.
Your mechanical engineering expertise could see you take on responsibilities as a Project Engineer overseeing the delivery of complex projects such as a power-to-heat solution to cut emissions from a CHP plant.
Your mathematical superpowers and Big Data experience could see you exploring how the latest technologies can help us reap the rewards of digitalisation.

Operation & Maintenance

Harnessing digitalisation

As part of our team you’ll be using digitalisation to develop smarter and safer ways to run and maintain our infrastructure.
You’ll also benefit from the improved ways of working which technology is bringing across our operations, freeing up your time to focus on more interesting work.

Skills in demand

Your technical skills will be highly valued and we’ll support you to develop your career with us over the long-term.
Experience built up as a technician could see you become an Operations Manager at one of our facilities, overseeing developments such as the use of image recognition technology to make work safer and more efficient for colleagues.
As a Risk-based Maintenance Expert you’ll have an international role supporting maintenance engineers and technical experts across four countries and helping the development of data-driven O&M to avoid breakdowns.
